Liliana Luongo

Artist

Liliana Luongo is a freelance clarinettist and designer based in London. She enjoys a diverse portfolio career as a teacher, solo and chamber musician as well as playing with orchestras including the New Sussex Opera, Goodensemble and London City Philharmonic Orchestra. She recently performed Weber’s 2nd Clarinet concerto with the Bury Friendly Orchestra. She won the 2017 Wilfred Hambleton clarinet competition and was a finalist in the 2016 Harolde Clarke woodwind competition.


Liliana has never been very far away from a sketchpad! She was regularly told off for doodling in the margins throughout her school years and always prepared to take on new artistic ventures. She is currently artistic director for Cinematic Syncopations Orchestra, for which she is also co-founder and has taken on several private commissions, including creating original artwork for hiphop artists Bxrbarian and 386 collective.


Liliana has a passion for community music making and has been involved in many artistic schools and community programmes across London and the South East, including the Newham Music trust, Spitalfields Music, Drake Music, Soundcastle and Animate Orchestra Community programme.
