Jonathan Heeley
Composer
Jonathan Heeley is a Composer, Conductor and Bass Trombonist who has written extensively for the brass repertoire alongside chamber, solo, orchestral and commercial works.
Having studied at Trinity Laban where he was awarded the Leverhulme and Philip Jones Prizes he went on to further study with Stephen Montague and Alasdair Nicholson.
Recent commissions have included music for BBC online, Royal Academy of Music, Royal Welsh College of Music, National Children’s Orchestra, Royal College of Music, National Youth Brass Band of Wales and for this project the Ensemble of the Golden Bough.
Jonathan is also passionate about education and brass pedagogy and is the Head of Brass at Wellington College.
